Well, I had a chance to get to Dallas Safari Club today. I was in San Antonio and Austin on business and as luck would have it the Dallas show was going on.

Seen a stunning little double rifle at the Luxus guys booth.
Seems they are building some very nice and very well balanced little double rifles...made in Italy I think.
BEAUTIFUL WOOD, imagine that.
Wish I could have gotten photos...maybe someone else will and post them.
The price was LOW too.

Also seen some pretty good prices on some hunts.
Booked a hunt for Zimbabwe this year for buff.
$6,500 with some plains game. I am happy with that.

And to think...I was only going to "look around".

O well.

I love my Avatar Too Fellas.

The Luxus Arms 9,3x74R's I saw at DSC looked and handled very good.

I would like to shoot one for sure.

You can check them out at their website www.luxuswalnut.com

Who makes those Luxus rifles?

The box lock action looks very much like Italian SIACE actions.

I also saw the rifles and they are also offered in 30-06. Wondered about ejection of a rimless case though and will wait until feedback regarding this issue. Impressed with the feel and quality of the rifle though and might put one on my wish list.

What constitutes a LOW price for a DR? The prices on the used guns did not seem low.

My good friend Adam F. is one of the partners of Luxus.

Adam post here from time to time, and is very knowlegable about wood from all over, and is one heck of an artist.

Adam is a true double gun aficionado, he knows what a good double gun should feel like. he loves the british infulence on both shotguns and double rifles. I look foward to what Luxus will develop in the future.

Adam your guns looked awesome at DSC!

Peter,

His 9.3x74 double was priced right at 14.5K and was finished beautiful.

Ed,
Thanks.

Everyone else, we have contracted with various Italian gunmakers (such as Famars and Abbiatico and Salvinelli) and some other small specialized shops. Some individual components are also being built by small shops.

We are keeping the retail costs of the guns low and the wood quality very high.
The guns are built to our personal designs (read English).
This is possible because of our close working relationships (wood sales) with many gunmakers here in the U.S. and overseas.

Available calibers are growing. We have some 450/400, ,450, 470 and 500 nitros coming in about 6 months.

Thanks for the great response at the shows guys.

Best,

Adam

Your web cite doesn't have photos (except for one lonely photo.)

When will you all have photos of the guns, options etc up?

How about posting some photos here?

Thanks,

JPK
