> Sorry, I posted this on your add in the classified, not realizing it was an add, and not wanting to hender you sale, I moved it here! RM007, I have a few questions regarding the double rifles you are offering in the classified section here on ! The question is on your description of the regulation statements above, and in fact all the regulation numbers stated! #1 The statement that the rifles are regulated to POA at 50 yds. What is the group for this regulation at 50 yds. Are all shots basiclly trying for the same hole at 50 yds, or are they crossing at 50 yds, or are they hiting apart at 50 yds? #2 loads given as REGULATED at FEET POUNDS OF ENERGY, and KO NUMBER, rather than FEET PER SECOND,with a certain bullet weight, give no indication of the regulating velocity! This is confusing to me, as the regulating has always been done by velocity/bullet weight. The prices seem very good, but the info, as I said is a little confusing. I have built a few double rifles over the years, and much can be explained by a picture of the regulation target with each shot of a four shot group, numbered as they were fired, and from which barrel. This is the only way one can judge the regulation quality. We may be on the same page, but I simply would like a little more info! > ....Mac >>>===(x)===> MacD37, ...and DUGABOY1 DRSS Charter member "If I die today, I've had a life well spent, for I've been to see the Elephant, and smelled the smoke of Africa!"~ME 1982 Hands of Old Elmer Keith

MacD37 This group of 6 shots were fired by 3 different shooters at 50 yrds off hand. all the other info about the build was quoted from Jason Simpkins. I have been shooting 405 grain factory Remmington ammo with great consistancy. I really like the gun,it has been a great intro to doubles for me, but I have found a 9.3x 74 that has my name on it. The target looks good, especially shot off hand, and by three different shooters. Still I'd like to know which of the holes are from which barrel, and in what order they were fired in the six shots! So far, the rifles look to be value for price, IMO! A very good start-up rifle, to wet your feet on, if they all shoot like this one! ....Mac >>>===(x)===> MacD37, ...and DUGABOY1 DRSS Charter member "If I die today, I've had a life well spent, for I've been to see the Elephant, and smelled the smoke of Africa!"~ME 1982 Hands of Old Elmer Keith

The shots are regulating properly, with the laft barrel hitting left, and the right barrel hitting right, and only about a inch apart for the first two shooters! I would guess the third shooter was shooting very hot barrels, partly causeing the extreme spread of his shots. The first four shots are almost perfect, and I'd suspect that the barrels are quite thin, and opperates best with the first four shots, which is also as it should be! The regulation is holding tight for the first four shots, and you can't ask for better than that in a double rifle costing no more than these! One question here! Are these rifles Mono-blocked, or full length lined? The rifle haveing a single trigger, that I think I can see a selector on the back of the trigger, I would assume from your description of the shots, that the trigger is set to fire the left barrel first! I'd try the rifle with the trigger selected to fire the right barrel first, to see if regulation changes. This is nice to know, when useing each barrel for different type bullet. this is because many, me included, carry a double with a soft in the right barrel, and a solid in the left. This gives you an instant choice of bullet type depending on your need at the time. Of course you wouldn't be hunting Cape Buffalo with this rifle, but when I hunt them I almost always fire the first shot useing a soft! That is followed close behind with a solid, usually a Texas heart shot at a going away buffalo. All subsiquint shots are solids. This means one needs to know how his rifle acts with each barrel loaded differently. From what I'm seeing, so far, if the rest of his rifles shoot this well, and are mono-blocked, rather than full length lined then they are certainly worth your asking price, but if I were going to buy this rifle, I'd insist on a return policy if it is not as advertized! It sounds good but one never knows till you actually see it and shoot it! ....Mac >>>===(x)===> MacD37, ...and DUGABOY1 DRSS Charter member "If I die today, I've had a life well spent, for I've been to see the Elephant, and smelled the smoke of Africa!"~ME 1982 Hands of Old Elmer Keith
