I only gets these guns once a year and only have 3 guns left.
All three guns are identical except for cal and weight, features include bushed firing pins, double trigger with articulated front trigger, shadowline cheekpiece, upgraded wood, ejectors, bushed firing pins, extended triggerguard tang, steel grip cap, QD swivels, antique silver frame finish, snap caps, makers case, gold line around the breech. LOP 14.5", barrel length 23 1/2".
Guns are $6800, FFL needed and shipping is $70 to the first 48 states.
The first gun is a 45-70 and weighs 121oz or 7.56 lb.
I am not sure why the pictures are so small but you can see larger pictures at www.kebcollc.com look under firearms and then rifles.

The second and third guns are 9.3x74R and have the same features as the 45-70 above.
Gun #46073 weighs 110oz or 6.88 lb, gun #46072 weighs 115oz or 7.19 lb.

Small family company that makes a limited number of hand made guns, as well as contracting for repairs to other makers guns. They also supply parts to other makers including the "in the white actions" to a well known hammer SXS rifle As of right now they make nothing bigger than the 45-70, but I keep asking!
Dakota marketed the SIACE Superlight shotgun before they went broke the last time.

Now if they can make a 45-70 at 7.5 lbs., surely they could make a 450/400 at no greater weight. Those 45-70 barrels have to be thin thin.

Maybe so, but I personnally do not mind Ken posting these in the Double rifle forum and enjoy looking at the pictures. The Double forum doesnt get much traffic so I dont see an occational ad of a Double for sale being a problem. However, Ken, it would obviously give you more exposure if posted in the classifieds as well. JMHO. Keep them coming, just dont get carried away like that guy selling Elephant leather goods in the classifieds! jumping

Will,

You are a cruel sob, with a too good memory. I'm only one for two on doubling my rifle in an elephant charge, but I'm still two for two for stopping elephant charges. Reading your book leads me to believe that is one better than you, eh?

JPK,

I have doubled on elephant, actually on my second elephant. I had practiced on the skeet range with a double trigger SxS, etc. All the same stuff except not really all that much practice. I still blew it. That's why I eventually went to pulling the rear trigger first.

And the first charge, the cow didn't stop at the PH's 460 Wby to the head between the eyes, my 470 to the same place, and after my first shot, with the front trigger, I was trying to pull the front trigger again off its hinge. All this time the cow continued coming without the slightest hesitation.

I figured at this point my ass was grass.

If it hadn't been for my son-in-law then shooting the cow with his 416 Rigby in essentially the same place, which finally turned the cow, I would have within a second or two been burnt toast.

All this time the cow wasn't knocked down.

Anytime someone says that elephant can be easily turned, yeah that's true except that one time they got stepped on.

I just figured I'd better recognize my limitations with double trigger SxS rifles before I got myself killed.

The first shotgun I had was a Ithaca Model 37 pump 20 gauge. I couldn't ever figure out that slide thingy either!

Obviously, I've got big motor-skill problems. Smiler

Ain't that the truth! The idea of going out with a squish isn't too appealing. I'm sure your alive long enough to feel all of your bones breaking and your guts coming out your front and rear portals, along with maybe a couple more made by the elephant's tusks. Just the thought gives me the chills.

Leads to my conclusions that those who advocate light but legal calibtres haven't done enough thinking on the subject, don't have much experience and/or none in the thick bush.

The difference between you doubling your rifle on an elephant and me doing it is that you didn't run your mouth about no-how, no-way first!

Agree,
SIACE makes beutiful rifles, and $ 7000 -8000 would be possible for a 450/400 version if they can get barrels for a decent price.

A top quality handmade European double rifle sold $ 2000 - 3000 cheaper (in US) than a Searcy Field Grade despite the weak US dollar!

We must convince SIACE to make the 450/400 version!!!

Beautiful looking guns. If they are the ones on Gunbroker I'd like some more info on the test targets shown. Are they 50m or 100m?

If 50m I'd expect to see better groups.

The guns on Gunbroker are not mine. If you are interested you should ask the seller to see some closer pics of the test targets as I can not tell anything from the picture I saw. SIACE test targets often have 4-8 holes in the paper with the regulated shots circled. I could not see the circled shots in the picture.
Open sight guns are regulated at 50 meters

Just my opinion, but unless that make a 450/400 on the small 9.3x74R frame it will be just as clunky as all the rest on the market (and if they leave in the single trigger option, all would be right with the world!).
