What is the 500/416?
will

206 Mpa (2060 Bar) ie about 30,000 PSI from 70 grns S355

I am sure you are right about what a woodward will withstand

Jack, while I might be wrong, I think you can use a slower powder in your
450/400 and get it 2000-2050 fps but I don't think you can use a slower powder
and get it to 2330 fps within acceptable pressure limits or get enough in the
case for that matter. What do you think?

Dave,

If I got consistant 2100 FPS I believe that would be just fine

99% of the time. Let's see as the spring time is here and it's

easier to get out and test fire.

Dave... The 500/416 was designed to use a slow burning powder....it is the only one out there where the standard regulation load from the factory used a real slow powder ...ie H1000

The new Norma Ammo using the 410grn woodleigh gives 2330fps at a miserly 28,500 PSI
Why would you go to reloader 15? You get a half full case, more pressure and less velocity? Reloader 15 in a big case like the 500/416 will probably move the 410grn Woodleigh right along at 2150fps at a max load
