I have a 30 mm on my 470.Its a great scope for 800 bucks.
It has held up well and is very clear and bright.

Had the older verson (30mm tube 1,5-6x) on my .375 loaner rifle. Still works well after 8 years.

The Nikon Hunting website has the Monarch African listed with "four inches of constant eye relief".
