Does anyone know the history of this rifle?

[Need to click on "Dangerous Game Rifles" and then "Marcel Thys 577..."]

Thanks

I did already, thank you

By the way, I say your Searcy at Butch's booth at SCI. Looks great, puts my simpler Searcy's to shame

Thanks, bradhe!

I think Butch and Mark Swanson, our engraver, did an outstanding job.

Thank you for your kind words.

And you should not be ashamed at all with your Searcy.

I believe I saw this riffle in the white, back in 1995 when I bought my 8x57 JRS. Marcel Thys made the action out of a solid piece of steel, with chisels and hammer !

Why not get the story from the horses mouth ? Marcel Thys can be reached by phone.

I think this gun was owned by Fine Guns of Idaho, when I bought my 470 Capstick he offered me this gun, or an identical one in the mid $20k range, guess I should have jumped on it...I've known and seen Steve Barnett on several occasions, he usually has pretty nice and solid guns, but they are not bargains, unless you haggle some.. you might check with them Fine Guns, they came from the infamous, little-old lady whose husband passed away... Smiler but they might have some info..
