I am also looking into a Verney with the same features as yours. tu2
Mine will be in 470 though and will have sling studs (rear with twin screws) and a Splinter fore-end.

Just your typical twin screw type as I'm "over" the single screw type that always unscrew when the sling loops around.

Ken,

Is my double almost done? beer

Just kidding, though I wish I weren't.

Today is a beautiful day and one to spend in the field shooting double rifles at dangerous, charging mellons. tu2

Congratulations on your new double. If I was in the market for a double right now, I would have picked a VC as well. It's the closest thing to a "bespoke" gun that us mere mortals can afford. Please post some pictures for us when you get it. I think Biebs has a .600 as well.

Ditto, I'm looking forward to seeing some of Ken's wares at DSC. I especially like Don's 500.

Dave, not another Blaser S2 ??? Traitor!

No on the 600...I had a 577NE DR but traded it for my 2006 Harley Davidson Road Glide! However, my new best friend Bailey Bradshaw will be crafting me a falling block double ...a dedicated Elephant rifle, due mid-2011. It will be a work of art!

Will rideing to Colorado even warm up the motor??? lol lol I drove my bike from south central Alaska, down the ALCAN hi-way, to Seattle, east to MI., up through Mi. into Canada going easy to NB. Then NP to Maine by ferry, then heading down the east coast, and then west. I went across all the southern states angleing to Utah, then NW back up to Seattle. 14,9999 miles in all...

Actually, i drove down the ALCAN twice, the other trip was 12,300 miles... And this was before most of it was paved...

Dave,

Ken is a great guy - genuine in every way.

If you are going to be around there, give me a heads-up a few days in advance - it's a bit of a haul from me to Ken's neck of the woods, but certainly worth the trip.

If you're OK with driving this way, we could meet up with Biebs at Griffin & Howe. Talk about a store for big boy toys! shocker
