A great hunt last week with a couple firsts.
James with his first lion and lynx, me with my first time holding a double. What a piece of art that Heym is. I could harrdly believe the beauty of that rifle, surpassed only by the effectiveness on the large cougar James was to shoot.
Here are afew pictures for you lovers of doubles.

Congratulations on hunting that beautiful cougar!
I expect that it doesn't get better than that. The
rifle was more than enough, and that is the way
to do it. We can't be perfect, so our choices are
to be under-gunned or over-gunned. Your choice
was the correct one.

I'm heading back to Tatlayoko to hunt black bear x 2 with Skinner Creek Hunts and Doug McMann in May. I'll be packing my new Heym 577 along with the Heym 450/400 shown in the photos.

The hunt for the "Butler Creek Cat" was epic and packing along the double rifle made it even more memorable.
