Rich, I got to handle a matched pair he built in 2007/08. All I could get were phone pics. What pieces of art!

The DR business is getting really exciting with Bradshaw's Damascus guns, Butch's awsesome rising bite design and Peter's really good looking English offerings. The buzz is in that air!

If you could start from scratch. That is to say you had a gun maker that would build you anything you wanted in a double, what would it be. Be creative here, don't let cost be the deciding factor - I'm talking about having your "Ultimate" double built.

Let's hear it!

I would go with:
a boxlock style, round action
blackened SS
removable trigger/hammer sear group
tang over comb
triggerguard to gripcap
ejectors

American made.

Since I cant buy it, guess I might try and build it!

Jeff -- I have my dream double. It's in my hands!
Got a Heym 88B Safari 470NE from Chris Sells, who measured me for a custom fit. We're there, dude!

This gun has put down many animals and varmits on my ranch near Oak Creek Lake. Got a fine 10pt whitetail about three months ago with it. The vital area on a raccoon is kinda large, when I use this gun.

I don't have my DR scoped - I still use my M107 for the longer range shots on 'yote and whatever.

My son is getting the same gun for himself, only in 500NE. In a couple of years, we will be heading off for Tembo!
