I've been following the posts on the 450-400 and thought it would be interesting to show theh difference between unfired brass and cases fireformed to my 1908 rifle. From left to right are virgin BeLL and Hornady cases, with two fired cases on the right. Note how far the shoulder has come forward and the 'double radius' shoulder. I had Hornady custom shop make my dies based on fired cases so presumably they follow the fired case dimensions closely. Got them shortly before Hornady released the 450-400 as a regular product.
