Had the privilege of sitting with Alain at our Chattanooga (TN Valley) SCI Banquet last night. What a great guy and a good conversationalist. My wife Terri burned his ear up, as she usually does. Alain gave an entertaining and varied talk.

By the way, he's a really little guy. I'm 6'1', Terri's 4'11", and Alain in right in between. And he shoots a .577 double rifle. That says a lot.

Thanks Alain for a great evening.

Very cool. I saw him at DSC, but never got around to saying hello to him. I like his show too.

I have checked out his website recently and was curious as to his writing. Has anyone read any of his books? How are they? What other writer might you compare him to?
Thanks

Until the last generation or two, his height would have been pretty average.

I can only offer, my wife has read a couple of his books and told me they were a good read and well written...

I find that the smaller built guys handle the heavy kickers better as they go with the flow over the big guys leaning in and taking it

Sutherland was a small guy and he seemed to handle his .577(s) well.
