I just got the Cabella's Shooting Catalog and the have the new Hornady .470 ammo listed for $120 for a box of twenty and .500 ammo for $125 for a box of twenty. If you don't reload you might be lucky and find that this stuff will regulate in your gun. Or at least use it for practice. It sure beats $90 for a box of five Kynoch

That is news! just 3 months ago I priced Federal at Cabela's at $370 for a box of 20 rounds. We have known for some time that the Hornady was going to be somewhat cheaper than the Federal stuff.

I load my own, so it makes little difference to me other than in an emergency, but their brass & bullets are cheaper as well, now that interests me! For practice I shoot wild hogs but use HAWK bullets which work fine. For serious hunting I use North Fork CPS bullets in my 470NE.

The HAWKs let you shoot your rifle a lot, which translates into shooting well when it counts!

Gentlemen.

GB has it listed for $ 104 a box regardless of solids or softs.

Should be worth a try.

I've tried some and it's good for making noise and conditioning you for the recoil but didn't regulate good at all. Didn't even group well out of 1 barrel. Don't waste your money is my opinion. If you don't reload or the high price of ammo bothers you then don't get a double.

You can borrow money, but you can't borrow time. Don't wait, go now.

I bought a couple of boxes to try of the DGX and to get the brass. They shot great in both of my Merkels. They shot to the same point of impact as my handloads and shot within 4" groups at 100yds. They also chronoed at 2130-2145 which is right where my handloads were running.
