elk88101I will try taking some pictuires today.
I wish my Buddy Biebs was here he is a pro at taking great shots of firearms.
He knows how to display them to make all the cool parts become outstanding parts.
Wow cant believe how time flies just 2 weeks away from antelope season and less than 30 days off to Alaska for Moose with Tom Shankster.
I am pumped for what maybe my last trip to Alaska. Just need my big moose but I have a full bag hunt and every tag you can imagine and 21 days to do it in.

MartyWhen I saw the rifle in Dallas, I didn't like the engraving. Now that the case coloring has been applied, it's quite beautiful. Congratulations, it's stunning.
Still waiting for mine, Bailey!

ddrhookbiebs you are you in line behind me right??????? i'm sure i remember hearing that.
i have some personal knowledge of bailey's recent absences on this forum and his dedication to his wife and family. he is truly one of the good guys in his personal life and as a gun makers he's very anal about quality and customers being happy with the finished product so the rifles are well worth the wait.
that being said BAILEY!!!!! get your ass busy i'm waiting on my rifle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BiebsI can just imagine yours....you'll need sunglasses to get near it, with all the Tanzanite embedded into it. I hear Ice T, Little Richard, and Dr Dre are in a bidding war for it :-)
07 August 2012, 21:23
ddrhooktanzanite, tsavorite, and sapphires abound around my house right now. i just got three color matched trillion cut yellow sapphires there small 1ct and two 1/2 ct. but one would make a great front sight bead. or i could use the red star sapphire i got last week. the 4.26ct tsavorite is to large

so i guess i'll sell it

bidding starts at 15k for it it's collector quality

AAA grade

Dave BushSomething is seriously wrong here. Where is the post from MacD37 telling Larry he can't possibly hunt DG with a falling block double because it's way to slow to reload and will surely get him killed?

Larry, that is one beautiful gun! Good hunting.

BiebsDave, with those long loading troughs on the action, they just slide right in on their own....very easy to load.

Dave BushJon, don't help Mac. A falling block double, it's just not
traditional. Maybe as dangerous as, dare I say it, (gulp) a Blaser S2.

. Damn good thing it doesn't have a beavertail forearm.
A falling block single barrel, now that's tradition...LOLOLOL

ddrhookcross,
you see double enough that bailey was afraid to build you a double rifle

can't wait till we get to have a nip or twenty in front of one of those small fires you build. maybe with my double in jan during dsc

I don't think Mac would say that at all. He'd just want a flanged case round for any double rifle hunting dangerous game. I would!

ddrhookwith a little practice you can load a falling block a hell of a lot faster than another double. i'm not fast with one yet but bailey can be scare fast when he wants to be. i'll work on my reloading speed when mine is in hand

praying for it to be ready in time for dsc
12 August 2012, 23:52

Correct bullet placement, combined with the required depth of bullet penetration, results in an anchored animal...

Dave, I'm here reading your jabs!

Actually a Bradshaw falling block or a Ruger No 1 falling block is quicker the reload than a traditional break-top double rifle, because of the troughs leading to the chambers causes the rounds to simply slide into the chamber or chambers. One thing you need to realize is those rifles, at least, re-cock when the chambers are opened FOR ANY REASON!

I happen to own several big bore Ruger No1s, and I find them to be rather fast to reload!
Bailey Bradshaw makes a fine double rifle, regardless of action type. IMO Bradshaw is a genius who designs all his rifles from scratch. He is a very nice man that I’ve had the privilege of having had some long conversations with, and have handled the rifle pictured in this thread even before it’s owner did. Blaser could take some sugestions from Bradshaw that would improve thier products.

BYE!

IIRC, the rifle was delivered awhile back to a happy customer (Larry, aka elk88101)! See his posts above.

elk88101I have sent the gun back to bailey to install the scope mount
I have been having eye issues and need the scope.
Also I have been hunting since the second week of August and have not been home very much.
I have a few more hunts to complete then I will take a trip to the range. I have the rifle back and the trijicon scope looks great.
Bailey said he loves the scope and has groupings that would put some Bolt rifles to shame.
Take a look at the pictures of the gun on previous posts.
Some day Bailey will have the drop lock 28 gauge shotgun started he has the wood already.
I will post some pictures of the targets when I go shoot.
Thanks all for the kind words about this one of a kind rifle.
