I the only time I shoot on a bench rest with my 500 is checking the zero on the Doktor Optik. It isn't that bad. Of course, I do not want to shoot in this manner any more than I have to do so.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

Could be Asperger's Syndrome Jason.

Personally, I think George is just a simple asshole! I could be wrong however. He might be a complicated asshole!

Perhaps you are right George. I am just starting to learn after over 50 international trips. I am just learning after 43 buffalo, 14 elephants, 7 lions, 4 leopards and a single rhino not to mention hundreds of plains game.

My last safari was in the exact same place as your last safari.

I may be still be learning . One thing I have learned with certainty. I have never shot a cow when I thought I was shooting a bull.

Listen Shootaway you fuckwit. Larry has taken up for you while everyone else flays you with good cause apparently. I kind of felt sorry for you personally as a people can be a bit off. I made a point personally to post on the Shootaway abuse thread that poor Blake would PH for you any time. Obviously I was wrong about you. BTw your "mistake" caused a huge problem after you left. Done with you. Should never have taken a shot at Bwana Shores. It was more like suicide.

Actually I have been following Shootaway's responses and, coupled with other's observations describing his behavior while I was in Zim I believe that psycho affective disorder would be my diagnosis. I have had more than a few clients diagnosed with this disorder which is marked by the following:
a) Disorganized thought processes, speech and thinking;
b) abnormal emotional responses;
c) Strange beliefs not based in reality (cognitive dissonance) characterized by odd and unusual behavior.

Not passing judgment but just my opinion based on my 20 years experience. Putting this into context it is easier to understand his responses and unusual observations. Sad.

Bwana B let me say that I'm not making any excuses for Shootaway. I'm not endorsing or making any excuses for him at all. Larry has always been generous with his videos and providing me with information and I stand by him and his experience 100%.

I just don't think Aspergers is the correct diagnosis. And by the way I misspoke, it is schizoaffective. I inadvertently stated psycho affective. It is late in the day for me!

Ultra cheap "Russian Roulette" Africa Safari.

Sweep over the plains of Africa after game

Plenty to shoot and plenty of chances to get shot as well Big Grin

Dutch,
Glad you corrected yourself, but schizoaffective disorder just does not cut it for Mr. LIHOM.
Schizoaffective is basically a blending of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder: "Manic-depressive-schizophrenic."

I studied psychiatry for a year and a half of a 4 year program but scored higher than the 4th year residents on the in-service training exam,
that we all took each year, on my first exam after one year of the residency.
Posted scores, checked by ID number, I beat them all.

Then I saw a 4th-year resident attempt suicide, and a child psychiatry professor/attending actually succeeded in hanging himself.
So I bailed on the program while I still knew everything, moved on to greener loonie bins.

Todd is close to the proper diagnosis.

After years of exposure to Mr. LIHOM, even though he is on ignore (he still gets quoted far too often),
I feel very certain that the more accurate diagnosis for him his this:

A blending of "Asperger's Syndrome" and "Asshole's Syndrome."
I have not checked DSM V for the diagnosis, but it really needs to be listed there.
Psychiatrists just make this shit up as they go anyway.
We can call the condition by the acronym "ASAS" or more handily truncated to just "ASS."

He can't, he lives in a metrosexual country (you know, kinda like what the democraps want to turn this country into) where they don't allow hi-cap rifles, so he'll have to settle for a bolt action. Charles Whitman did OK with his (16 kills) then again he was a Former Marine....

As long as you're not standing next to the person he is trying to shoot you will be fine.
