Does anyone know of a source for factory-loaded ammunition, any brand, for the .475 #2 NE, not the .488” Jeffery version, in North America?

If you can't find ammo, I'll give you a dollar for the rifle, assuming it is a double and of high quality! Get Kynoch to ship it to Canada. The Eley version. ------------------------------- Will / Once you've been amongst them, there is no such thing as too much gun. --------------------------------------- and, God Bless John Wayne. Here it is Ron. http://www.kynochusa.com/Cartridges.html ( Beware! Wills offer is only good if it's 9# or under with a missing trigger and a huge ugly safety) NRA Life ASSRA Life DRSS Today's Quote: Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Actually, unfortunately, the rifle is not mine, but a friend's. It's an Alexander Henry, top-lever gun and would sell for just a tad more than one dollar! Obviously we will load for it but getting the dies, etc, takes months. We're just looking for a couple of boxes of factory loads so that it can be shot NOW. Also a good source for once-fired brass.

Ron: I have not shot factory ammo in 30 years--just too cheap, I guess. Try CH Tool and ask for Dave Davidson (google the site and number) they may have dies and shell holders in stock. I just bought a .475 no 2 (not the .488 Jeffery) and Huntingtons has the brass and shell holders in stock as well as Woodleigh bullets. Within four days I was shooting my 1928 vintage Wilkes and loving every minute of it. For my rifle, I load 109 grains of IMR 4831 with the 480-grain Woodleigh bullets for a good group. I will try 107 or 105 to see if that brings the group a bit closer on the 50-yard target. Can your friend email me a picture of the .475 for posting on my website? Some good double there and more photos wanted!
