Greener Cross Bolt - Better systems there are.

D/R Hunter

Correct bullet placement, combined with the required depth of bullet penetration, results in an anchored animal...

Gents:
A mate of mine in Zim was selling his .500 ne by RB. Not sure if he still has it but if you may be interested PM me your contacts and I will put you in touch with him. I've seen and shot his rifle and for the money seems like a good value. I will ge flying to Zim in July to visit him and his family for a week or two.

Sir, I disagree. The screw grips from Webley are far superior.
The Screw Grips put pressure on the action to stay closed
during the firing of ammunition and the Greener C/B does not.

third fasteners however their configuration work secondary to the Purdey underbolt. I like the screw grip over the crossbolt due to aesthetics, but a proper fitting tapered crossbolt is very strong.

The late English gunsmith/gunmaker, Jack Rowe said to me several times that the Webley screw grip double rifle was the strongest of all the English double rifles.

That in RED I concur with unhesitantly.
That in GREEN I'd not heard, and in fact,
I heard that many cross bolt actions have been smoked,
and it showed no contact of the bolt and rib extension.
As you are a professional Aaron, I yield to you.
