I've kept in touch with the fellow who bought the Vaughn 470 from Griffin & Howe. I don't think he'd mind, he doesn't post around alot, if I passed on what happened. The gun caused concern due to the overtravel of the top lever but it was no cause for concern. But there were problems with other internals, he mentioned striker(s) among others, that he had to have repaired. He negotiated getiing the repairs done and the final price. Gun is a dream now, he's happy, shot some PG this year and going back for buff next year. I think it booked to 1918. It's a lovely gun. I don't recall, but I think someone here handled it and/or others here could tell that there was some wood refinish. But the gun presents very nicely. | ||
