Merkel adjustable wedge

I have been drooling over a Merkel 141 chambered in 8x57JRS, it seems like a perfect deer rifle to me, and I really like the idea of an adjustable muzzle wedge. My question is, at 100 yds, how far will it move the point of impact? Will it hold zero?

Thanks, Greg

I have a Merkel 141 in 9.3x74R. I don't know how far it will move at 100yds but if you follow the instructions on adjusting and let you barrels completely cool down between shots, it is easy to adjust.

JJ at Champlin advised me to mark the position of my screws as they can move from recoil. I have not had that problem yet but I did mark them after he told me that.

That 8x57 will be a sweet deer rifle.

If the recoil from your 9.3 wont loosen the wedge then the 8x57 wont either. I found a nice model 141 in 9.3x74r that was for sale close to home, but it was just too light.

Good advice from JJ. It may not happen on all guns but I have seen it happen on some.
