I posted this on the African section but it applies here as well..

I have it from a pretty darn reliable source that a plane Jane double is coming from Butch Searcy in the very near future. It will be in 470,450 and 450-400-3" I am told. It will be blue with plane wood, blued with no egraving, extractors, double triggers...rumor says it will sell for about 10 grand...

It's sure overdue IMO..I just hope its more than rumor.

Damn, Ray. You swear off your gun whoring ways less than a day ago and now jump right into gun pimping?

Sounds great to me.

It would be even better if it was rust blued, had a ghost ring rear sight that clamped into the Searcy rib scope mount system, fiber optic front sight and came with a cheap but strong takedown case.

ALLEN W. JOHNSON - DRSS

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

Even better if he could find a way to get the price down a little bit. I can't go 10k, but would like to have one.

That "plane" wood stock should be pretty interesting... Might be a bit light though... wonder how Balsa holds up to recoil... rotflmo
