Karl Hauptmann is a famous Ferlach Gun Maker with long tradition. His son Gerd runs now the Show. I know a number of people using there Doubles. He also builds Side by Sides with 3 Barrels !

I love the lines of the barrels breech end as they flare out. I have a small DR that does that, also from Ferlach.

Beautiful rifle - side lock - gold plated triggers, locks & pins would be my guess & about US$13k. great deal in my humble opinion!

Good luck.

The rifle seems nice, have not seen it myself yet.
The lock is what I beleve is called a "Karstein Verschluss" Like a Greener but with 3 lips and crossbolt going through.

Not a english style double but it seems nice, I like it.

The internals of action is gold plated.
Price is about $12000, but I hope it is possible to get it down a bit. The marked for large bore doubles in Norway is limited.

Do anybody have experience with 475 No2.

Thanks

Many believe it is the best of the similar nitros with the lowest pressures.

Sorry but the rifle is not in my possession.
I live about 600km from Lillestrøm so no chance for me to take a "quick" trip.
Could you ask him about the rifle in general terms.

Bjarte
