It takes a big rifle to make a 15lb 600 nitro look small, but this one does it. A few pictures from my friend Cal Pappas' website I can't wait to read more about the 4 and how the load testing goes. Four bores are pretty rare and it is rarer still for someone to put them through the wringer with multiple bullets and powders like we do with lesser cannons. Cal is also about to come out with a book on the 600 that should be a good read. A 600 Nitro Wilkes next to a Robert Hughes 4-bore. I'd be smiling too, at least until I had to shoot them! The 470 Nitro is a nice comfortable round to me. But, I don't even want to try to shoot a 4 bore. I've been hearing about the 4 bore for a couple weeks and saw the beast last weekend. I think it's 25 pounds and I for one would appreciate every ounce of that. He has moulds or bullets up to something like 2100 gr. DRSS NRA life AK Master Guide 124

WOW! That 4-bore sure looks fantastic. I hope to get an 8-bore soon. I will have my $$$ while in Afghanistan and hopefully "upgrade" my DR collection when I return. Happy shooting. Leon DRSS (Afghanistan Chapter)
