N E 450 No2New .600 SLE cut barrels down?

Your Marcel Thys double is one of his nicest made guns that I have handled.
Much better than most of the MT guns I have seen.

Ne 450 No2,
I have handled very nice Thys's and some that were not in that league. Like all makers Thys made a range of guns, and with the range some were better than others. All English makers, or any maker made some less than ideal guns and rifles. H&H made some dogs, never have seen a Purdey that was a dog though!
I'll say that none of the Thys sidelocks I've seen were less than very nice.

ftondrusJEFF, I AGREE WITH THE IDEA OF A SECOND SET OF BARRELS - EITHER SAME OR DIFFERENT CALIBER.
A 577 WOULD BE NICE OR A SHORT SET OF 600.
IS THE FRAME BIG ENOUGH TO TAKE A SET OF 700 BARRELS ? THAT WOULD BE A NEAT COMBO WITH THE 600.
GOOD LUCK WITH WHATEVER YOU DECIDE, TOM

Would the frame be big enough to allow for a properly weighted .700. Although Jeff could have the first ever ultra light .700NE sheep rifle!!!
