battered I have shot several Blaser S2's. They are a different breed of cat. I am a big fan of Blaser rifles. I use the R 93 quite a bit. I have 2 D99 Duo drillings that operate the same as the S2's. Once you learn how they work they will serve you well. The S2's are some of the most accurate doubles made. They are not cheap and they are not junk. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

If you are going to take it against dangerous game, then as with any rifle, you must be well practiced with it. I would strive for accurate shooting and quickly reloading several pairs of cartridges in a row. Learn all of the rifle's "quirks" and "particulars". Jack OH GOD! {Seriously, we need the help.}

I have one in 9,3x74R and I really like it. Very accurate and a joy to shoot. There should be a test target included which also ndicates the load they used. Mine was regulated with Blaser CDP ammo, buy it shoots Norma, RWS and S&B just fine. Proud DRSS member

Ditto ozhunter, battered you have some of the best bullets for the 500 right in your backyard, although I prefer, just a little, the GS solids over the Woodies. Congratulations, wait till you see what that 500 will do to those buff. "An individual with experience is never at the mercies of an individual with an argument"

Pay attention. That's a hot load. Better will be RL-19 with 105 gr, use a Fed 215 primer and you get 2140 fps.

Bill, The load was behind a 570 grn Woodleigh! I developed the load based on the formula from "Shooting The British Double Rifle" by Graeme Wright. Cordite 80grns X 1.19[Reloder 15]= 95.20grns of R15. I worked the load up over a chronograph, and 96 grns of R15 gave me 2142fps. HOT LOAD? I hardly think so! Doc52 B.
