My local gun dealer has got a Jeffery Double in 400 Jeffery. It is a hammergun, but fits me very well, and t would be perfect as a medium bore rifle. I could however need some help with info on the rifle. The pictures are not very good quality, but you should get an impression. It is not in "mint" condition, but this kind of rifle I want to have a "used" look on. So can anybody tell a little? Approx time of production, round action (like on this one) vs other actions, price range, etc.. | ||

Litespeed: Looks like you have a nice rifle. I don't have the records but when researching my book on the .600 Jeffery number 15313 was sold on Feb. 25, 1904. A top lever hammer gun in what appears to be fine condition should bring 11-14,000$. I sold one a short time ago (not a Jeffery) for 11K. Bore condition is everything. If you want to see some nice Jeffery .600s take a look at my website.
