Excess head space
Can someone explain to me how and why this adversely affects recoil?

This is a curiosity question, nothing more.

Nobody I know! It simply causes a danger of head seperation from case stretch or missfire wit not enough fireing pin contact! I.ve never heard of it causing excess recoil.
I could be wrong however, I was once back in 1954!
