I picked up my PMDR (Poor Man's Double Rifle), aka the RemBai 45-70. I had it nearly an hour before firing the first shots. It came with mounts and a 4X M8 Leupold. It works!!

FYI, the left barrel is fixed, the right one uses the jack to regulate L&R. Put the 1/16th hex wrench into the upper or lower slot and click 1/2 turn. My trapdoor load shoots 3 from the left barrel into 2.5" at 50yds.

Rich,

Congrats ... now you get to play with the right barrel too Wink They are supposed to work together after all.

Your screwed now. Next thing you know, you wiil probably start hanging out with other DRSS members who will rub off on you, and not in a good way. Welcome to the club. The only thing worse than owning a double rifle is owning a double rifle that shoots good.

All I have to do now is get a decent load regulated in time for the February 2010 Hoot-n-Shoot III. Time to head out to the range again. These things are beyond addictive!

I think so. The $$$ is not the issue, just scheduling. There's this thing called the SHOT Show, the SCI in Reno, and the H-n-S III in about a three week period. The wife tends to run amuck cleaning the house while I am gone and I sometimes have problems coming in late at night and thinking I am in the wrong house for a minute or two...

Oh, jeez! I don't know if I can get that done. Hunting season starts about then here and I have Elk, Mule & Whitetail Deer, and both fall Turkey and Bear tags to fill.

October, eh? Jeffe and I could have a 45-70DR club meeting.

Idaho, you gotta a rough life and schedule there, I am sure everyone feels sorry for you. All that hunting you have to do. There are plenty on here that would probably volunteer to help you out with those tags.
