Am considering jumping back into the double world since moving back to Alaska. Learned my lessons about buying guns in calibers with difficult to obtain components.
Is 375 Flanged ammo and or cases easy to come by?
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.
Magnum or 2&1/2"? Proper 2&1/2" cases are very hard to come by, you can get by with cases made from .303 British though. .375 Magnum flanged brass is not that hard to find, but it is not as easy as .47 or 9,3x74R either. Hope that helps.
Consider going with a 9.3x74R. It’s very popular in Europe and you can buy it in SBS or U/O configurations as well as combo guns. Plenty of ammo and brass options.

Owned one previously. Worked just fine on a couple of moose. Like to try something different this time around. I have nothing leftover from my 9.3 days.

Hornady has also made the brass and there are stashes of it around at various dealers. You can also go to some of the fine custom brass makers such as Quality Cartridge, Pete Cardrona, Owner- 301-373-3719
I thoroughly enjoy my Holland Royal!! Just took it on an Alberta Moose hunt for iron sighted shots...no joy this time... HAWAII Weather and lots of leaves!!
Another dude from CA flailed 4 shots at 50 yards and only got a tuft of hair!!UUURRRGGGGHH!!... he admitted he had put a new scope on his 338 WIN Mag... and didn't sight it in.!! Why wasn't I there??!! Monster Bull... over 60"!!
Shame on the Outfitter too... these guys flew up and he didn't require a sight in after the Baggage Smashers handling of their cases on 2 flights!!... BEFORE HUNTING, standard practice, EH??!!

Sounds like you are hunting Alaskan game and not in Africa, so no real need to go to a .375. I've got a 9.3 X 74 and while I wouldn't hesitate to shoot a lion or buffalo with it, it's illegal in a lot of places including where I hunt. But understand the desire to get something new and I've always thought a .375 Flanged would be a nice rifle. Never looked at components because I don't have one.
With todays shortages Id suggest the 9.3x74 as the only option..Never a 375H&H or any rimless round.
The 470 is a good option but recoil can be problematic, but you can load down and components are more available. A best caliber for Dangerous Game, hands down..
My favorite caliber for years was the 450-400-3" but components are all but impossible I'm told by my double rifle friends.
I don't find the recoil from a .470 to be objectionable. It's more of a shove than a punch, but I have friends who have shot mine -- once -- and said they'd never shoot it again.
