Craig Boddington has an interesting article in this months issue of RIFLESHOOTER about shooting the .577, .600, and .700 NE rifles. It's worth a read. The rifles were used to take some elephants and he doesn't give much detail about the hunts. That's probably for a later article but he does discuss the cartridges and talks about the ultra large bores penetration (or lack of it). Craig, if you are listening, I would love to see you test the .585 AHR as well as Rob's .600 OK. I think these bolts represent a marked improvement in ballistics over their double rifle counterparts. Talk to CCMDoc. He has a rifle chambered in each cartirdge. You need to take him on and elephant hunt with you!
