I have broken a spring for the right barrel ejector on my Chapuis 470. I have replacement springs on hand (ordered them and a spare front sight shortly after I got the gun) I noticed that the ejectors were very sluggish and the ejectors and channel were gummed up with dried oil/grease. Took the ejector assemble apart and cleanned everything out. Still very tight movement on both ejectors so I lapped them abit to ease the movement. They work fine now. I'm leaving the kickers and springs out for now as the gun works fine for range practice with just the extractors. When I want to reinstall the ejector parts, What compression tool is available for this job? Does anyone have a home built tool for this? I'd make one up but thought I's ask the forum members first. | ||
