I am going to be selling a double rifle. The rifle was purchased from a large estate auction about 15yrs ago. I have researched a lot of the online sources, shops etc. over the past few years but have never found another one like it. I understand that features, caliber, maker and condition are huge factors. I just wondered how you all determine value on older rifles, do you use some type of appraiser, send photos to shops? Are there references like the blue book for older guns. I am not interested in grinding out the last dollar on my gun, just establishing a reasonable fair market price. Any references would be appreciated. P.S. If you have any thoughts off the top of your head, the rifle is a Thomas Bland 577 3" Nitro Proofed 90gr/650 bullet, Hammers, under lever. Locks up tight, bores excellent, wood is very good, no engraving, has been refinshed somewhere along the line. Also comes with 85 Kynoch fired cases,NEW RCBS die set, custom 650gr bullet mold from LBT. "The difference between adventure and disaster is preparation." Just send it to Champlins, or someplace like it, on consignment. Georgie Boy will pretty much know what it will bring. ------------------------------- Will Stewart / Once you've been amongst them, there is no such thing as too much gun. --------------------------------------- and, God Bless John Wayne. Thanks for the replies, I would like to do my own research if possible. I don't want to consign it before I try to sell it on my own, and I don't feel right getting info from a business and then not selling it through them. I'll just keep researching. P.S.
