Okay, need the Board's help....I have a guy wanting to sell me a hammer-double, Pedersoli Kodiak in 9.3 X 74R. The thing is, Dale is sending me my Chapuis 9.3 X 74R, which I am VERY excited about. I am interested in the Kodiak BUT wanted the 45/70 caliber in the same rifle. So...do I buy this one (the price is good) even if it is the same caliber as the other one I have coming? *I am leaning toward just waiting until a nice Kodiak in 45/70 comes across my desk. Thanks. Proud new member of the DRSS...see you guys in Dallas.

You have made an excellent choice in getting a 9,3 Chapuis double. Before you buy a second double use and shoot your 9,3x74R a little. I am a fan of the 45/70 cartridge, and my brother had a Kodiak in 45/70 for a while. You will find the Chapuis will do everything you need in a double rifle in this power range. The Chapuis [especially scoped] is a great hunting rifle. So I would wait.... You are probably going to want a 450/400, the perfect companion to your 9,3. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

I have a 45/70 kodiak double I would think about trading for the 9.3. if in the same condition as mine. I have taken a bear with mine and it is very accurate and pleasent to shoot. Dean

Thanks for all the emails that has been sent. 1st, I am NOT interested in selling my Chapuis 9.3! 2nd, If someone is interested in possibly doing a trade for a Pedersoli Double in 8X57 or the 9.3 for the same in 45-70, shoot me an email. I am quite interested in the 45/70 model and perhaps we can get something worked out. Thanks.
