I was cruising through gunsinternational.com and saw a few months ago one of doublegunshop.com's Shot and Ball guns in 20ga for sale. From the looks of it a number of them are still available.

I go back and forth on whether or not it would be worth the ~$2000 however, it looks great and may be a good way to practice with express sights.

Has anyone bought or handled one? I'm looking for opinions pro or con.

Thanks guys.

Can you put a link up for us to see?
As I know it, doublegunshop.com is a website of discussion forums, much like accuratereloading, not a gunmaker.
$2000 for a ball and shot gun sounds cheap!
I'd like to see what you're talking about.

Cheers

That's Russ Gould's website. He's a member here, and can fill you in.

Regulated for TruBall ammunition, it's a 330 grain bullet at 1600 fps

Looks neat!

Chapuis made a similar gun that was regulated for Brenneke slugs. I have one and it is a really fun gun to shoot. Probably the lightest shotgun I've ever used.

Grahamzr-

I found that ad and followed it to the listing member's website, that's where I saw the image that I linked here for us to see.

It looks like a neat gun, but I don't have anything from personal experience to share with you beyond that.

I do however own a 20bore double rifle, and I like it a lot.
This little ball/shot gun looks sweet!
Call the seller, see what he has to say about it...

Cheers

Thanks for the follow up replies.

I'll probably have to hem & haw over it a little more.

I still need a plains game rifle.....

There have been several SxS shotgun "Double Rifles" offered recently...the Chapuis and an RBL-type from Connecticut Shotgun. One of these is fully rifled, and the other uses rifled choke tubes, as I remember. I would think the fully rifled model would preclude it's use as a typical shotgun, but probably improves slug accuracy.

The CSMC model is a rifles sabot gun. Checked it out looks pretty cool, though at that pricepoint I think I would wait a little longer & get an entry level double.
