On Dangerous Game tonight the hunter was using a double rifle in what he refered to as Holland and Holland Super 30 flanged. This rifle also had a set of 450-500 barrels as well It was made in the 30's according to him, what is this caliber comparable to?. Never rode a bull, but have shot some. Excellent cartridge in a superb gun. Sold a 1930's 30 Super last year, absolutely superb handling guns and IMHO the epitomy of British gun making.

I have an original Holland falling block rifle in this caliber. A 180gr bullet at about 2600fps. It works very well on deer sized game. Steve

A good caliber for sure. Some 20 year ago had a falling block action modified to take two hand-detachable barrels, one in .375 H&H flanged and the other in .300 H&H flanged. The .300 flanged has no iron sights and uses a Leupold 1.75x6 scope. Took a hartebeeste with the .300 H&H flanged barrel two years ago. Regards
