Hey all,I finally got my first buck with my old 30-06 sxs yesterday morning hunting on the ground up high on a Mountain Ridge..bout 9:30,was bear/deer hunting and got a picture perfect shot on this buck,35yards broadside,hit him with a 180gr.woodleigh,top of heart hit,complete penetration & excellent performance,Iam Proud & Thankfull to say the lest,I love it when a plan comes together..one shot/right barrel all it took.
It was a pretty sunny calm fall morning in the deer woods,it doesnt get much better than this! HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!

Nice double I have handled a Merkel 30-06.

Them "little light weight doubles" are sure great hunting guns. I have a 9,3x74R Chapuis that I really like.
