LL Bean has been making the Maine Hunting Shoe- (boot pacs) since about 1911. They wear like iron and are water-snow proof. Excellent for duck-goose hunting. Top quality leather uppers in sizes from 10 in up to 16 in. The bottom rubber pacs are excellent. A few years ago they re-introduced the almost pure red rubber bottom pacs. They are famous for their tough long wearing qualities and can be repaired by LL Bean if the bottoms wear. An ad from the 1950s in O Life or Field & S offered bottom replacement repair for $5. The price have gone up for a pair but they are worth it. Made in Maine. I own 3 sets and have had a pair since my youth and our family has bought the Maine shoe for 90 yrs now. Buy them a bit large and wear 2 sets of light then heavier socks-like military OD wool socks. Feet remain dry & warm in cold weather. Avatar

Im not surprised they have quality products, I have a 50 year old bedroll extra large and its been used to death and still like new, they don't make them like this today.. Ray Atkinson Atkinson Hunting Adventures 10 Ward Lane, Filer, Idaho, 83328 208-731-4120 rayatkinsonhunting@gmail.com
