The Duke live trap has a door where you can add your bait. This door has no latching mechanism. Needs one. Had a coon escape and so I put a nylon clamp on it and again a coon escaped by gnawing it off. Put a metal clamp on it and problem solved, which Duke should have solved. Other than that flaw the trap works great and operation is a joy. If not familiar with Duke traps, You Tube has a video of how they operate. Bottom line is I'd buy another.
