ou gotta love compassionate Christian Seniors......

A woman had just returned to her home from an evening of church services, when she was startled by an intruder.

She caught the man in the act of robbing her home of its valuables and yelled: 'Stop! Acts 2:38 !’ (Repent and be Baptized, in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins may be forgiven.)

The burglar stopped in his tracks. The woman calmly called the police and explained what she had done. As the officer cuffed the man to take him in, he asked the burglar: 'Why did you just stand there? All the old lady did was yell a scripture to you. ''Scripture?" replied the burglar. "She said she had an Ax and Two 38's!"

I'll lay 10 to 1 that ol' NC has a "true one" to top this.

Well thanks for your confidence ed, but as you know, I am a paragon of truth. I'm strictly in the shop business these days but I started out in the HVAC industry as an installer. One day we were all at a 4 way stop on the square in Georgetown, Tx. when this little old lady w/ cane starts to cross the street. Some guy whips around the corner + damned near hits this little old lady. She never slows her pace nor looks up, just lashes out with her cane + takes out his tail light. The guy starts to stop but all of us at the 4 way are cheering + he finds it more prudent to leave. Don't know if this tops it ed but that was never my intention. Oh + BTW, I don't know how many of you are aware of Rocky Erickson of the 13th Floor elevators band from the mid 60's here in Austin. The 1st psychedelic rock in synch w/ Frisco via 67. Anyway, Rocky got busted with pot in 67 + in Texas at that time was a life sentence, so he pleaded insanity. So they sent him to the State Hospital (AKA) mental would + gave him shock therapy. It's an ugly story but true. Rocky passed a few weeks ago finally but he is still an icon in this city. The reason that I even give you the lead-up ed since you were not there was that one day in the early '70s a few of us were sitting in an apt. + Rocky was walking up spinning a 45 record disc on his finger + someone says, "JESUS Rockys outside with a 45. We all hit the deck + I grabbed my 38 Chiefs Spl."If Rocky's got a 45 at least I have a 38".It all turned out O.K. Ed, just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean it didn't happen. Please sleep well with your misconceived convictions,XXO N.C.

I swear ed that I can't figure out what your problem is as I don't even know you + have never given you any grief but if it pleases you then, by all means, feel free to bask in your scatological mindset.

NC, you've got me all wrong. What you see as "scatological mindset" is simply my aversion to Bovine excrement, which you dispense in copious amounts, on a daily basis.
I get a kick out of your past life experiences. Be they true or not. Who cares? You are the "chief critic" on the humor forum for good reason. You, are one funny phouker!

NC, keep it up! I have never heard of Rocky Erickson, but had an uncle who underwent shock therapy. There is also a very moving portrayal of insulin shock therapy in the movie "A Beautiful Mind". Scary stuff we did to people in the name of medicine back then.

It killed Hemingway's mind. After the "therapy" he was supposed to write J.F.K.'s inaugural speech. He sat at his typewriter for 2 weeks + couldn't come up with anything. We all know how it ended.

Peter, pull up the '13th-floor elevators' circa Austin, Tx. 1967. They were the 1st psychedelic rock band in these parts. He was an icon of the community but his brain was fried....from the government, not the drugs. He was cared for by his brother Sumner + his mother until his passing a couple of months ago. Also, no Michael, I'm not interested in this person's attempts at criticism. Some folks have nothing to do with their lives except to criticize others. Who might be either a kid in the Mamas basement on the computer or just one more disgruntled old fart with nothing to do with his time. Mike, I am glad that you find humor + enjoyment in this little altercade but I am tired of dealing with a game of wits with an unarmed opponent; or at least half of the same.
