Yes, Viet Nam was a defining event for "LURCH" Kerry, it taught him how to be on BOTH sides of an issue and lie about it! They were his medals, they were not his medals, they were only ribbons {ribbons and medals ARE interchangeable, you know, ask any vet}. He is now recanting his "seared into his brain" incursion into Cambodia on Christmas of '68. What lie of his will be exposed next? Step right up and place your bets. You probably don't understand because it's a USA type of thing. He is an idiot because he supports someone for president who has never taken a firm stand on anything in his life, ie- he fought in the war, he fought against the war, he voted for and against military funding {same bill}, he accused all V.N. vets of crimes in V.N. then says he will "keep the faith" with them, says he was in Cambodia and now recants that statement, promises not to raise taxes and votes for tax increases 350 times. You can't believe a word or statement Kerry makes, but Mort does, so I believe Mort suffers from the classic "head up his ass syndrome" so that's why we take such delight in picking on the fudge packer. He deserves it. It's like the Aussie and Kiwi jokes you tell, we don't always understand the humor, it's local.

kerry is one of these people cut very much from the same cloth as clinton: they plan and scheme and maneuver all their lives from the time they are about 15 to work themselves into positions of power over the public. They seek approval, adulation, a reinforcement of their egos, a validation for their existence...

clinton was fascinated by Elvis but lacking any talent above seducing young nubiles in the bed of his El Camino, he chose politics over entertainment as his vehicle to fame and fortune. kerry is much like clinton, but chose marrying wealthy women along the way to political position to advance his personal agenda. I think we should all be very wary of someone who plans something like being President for 30+ years before the attempt-- that is the sign of an egomaniac and someone who cannot be trusted to shepherd the public good.

I was one of the very first to vomit at the thought of that glib asshole being POTUS. Perhaps someday whilst on a tour of some God forsaken disaster scene he will do what what never occured to him in Viet Nam, and walk into a helicopter tail rotor. It would have been his chance for a coveted 4th Purple Heart. Until then, keep this in mind:
