Wee Hughie shared a garden wall with his English neighbor. One morning there's Hughie out in his garden digging a fair sized hole.

His English neighbor who is always interested in what the mad Scots do is watching over the wall and asks: " Hughie. what are you doing?

Hughie, somewhat tearfully explains that he is burying a very favorite goldfish.

The English neighbor doesn't express a word of sympathy but does say: " That's a pretty big hole for a goldfish".

Hughie finishes tamping down the last spadeful of dirt, looks up and says grimly: "That's because he's inside your damn cat".
