Thank God, I've never lived anywhere that the idea of owning one of those crossed my mind. My complaint is when it gets cold enough overnight that the boat ramp has a skin of ice on it.

Thanks for the post. My brother and I bought a 300 cc Alpin new in '67. It was a true workhorse. Great flotation, it pulled well through the cat tails, and swamps, with the hood off (overheated easily) all fall and skidded firewood and hauled supplies to our camp all winter. Max speed about 15mph. Typical hour maintenance for every hour running. I think '67 was a first year for the twin track, single ski machine. New it was under $1000. This is a much newer model.

Actually had one of it's predecessors.
Dual tracks were good for work machine, but single ski, left one wanting if a quick turn was in order.
Luckily my use was the open plains around Wagon Mound NM so I usually had the required 40 acres to turn it. Wonder where it went after it went to my BIL.
