The totally oblivious hunter is a classic.

The story was that the hunter set his camera up on a tripod and set the timer to take the pic. He didn't see the pic until the next morning.

It appears that both were thinking the same thing, ummm, elk for dinner.

Perhaps it is best that the human hunter was unaware of the feline one until the next morning, otherwise there may have been a disastrous sphincter muscle failure.

I would also like to know.

The cat's glowing eyes makes me think it is photoshoped.

Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

Wouldn't the the dark night and pic taken with a flash cause the cats eyes to glow.

Yeah, the truth is I really don't know.

But, judging by the jovial expression on the hunter's face, I really doubt the photo was taken while he was alone in the dark with a camera on self timer.

He looks like he was enjoying a pleasant post kill exchange with a hunting partner.

But then what the hell do I know?!

Magnify the image & it becomes clear that the cat has been added.
