Not sure if this is funny or sad.

Older guy who is an army veteran is retired and has taken on a job for mad money as a greeter at Walmart.

He does not always show up at work at the very minute when he is due.

His "manager" knows he's a veteran, and asks him, "You were in the military. What would they say to you if you were regularly late for work?"

The veteran replies, "They would usually say, 'Good morning, sir."

A LITTLE off topic but one day my Seargent said to me "Why are you always the last on in the door in the morning?"

My response was "I carpool and I always sit in the back seat!"

He never said that again!
