I don't think it is always a matter of not willing to admit it. There are a lot of upstanding males out there who would never hit a woman. Lot of them just block the attacks usually they are not strong enough to do any damage and go on with their lives the best they can because they are stuck. Can't call the police. Who are they going to believe when they show up at the door? Especially after she says she was only defending herself. Can't fight back you will be in jail no questions asked. It's a no win situation for a male stuck in it. I was in it and when I left I got taken to the cleaners in divorce court cause it had to be the male who was the abuser. Only satisfaction I got was a couple of years later when the police got called to her house for a disturbance. She punched a cop in the face and he proceeded to throttle her and than he let the K9 go on her. After that she was thrown her in jail. Now she has been in jail a few times since that slip up with the cop. I got a bunch of apologies from people who knew us after that. Still didn't replace the house/pension/firearms/money/lawyers fee I lost when nobody believed me.>John PS: I could have easily beat the crap out of my exwife when we were married. Honestly I think that is what she wanted when she would get violent, just so she could call the cops and make me look like the abuser even more. Like I said I don't think its shame as much as your trapped in a position that easily makes you look like the bad guy. At least that's how it was in my situation. | |||
