( A word of explanation to Aussies - In the US, the shooting of deer or bear after dark is usually forbidden in sport hunting. The use of a spot light or a jack light is absolutely the signal of a lawbreaker) A gamewarden visits a hunting camp. He inspects a large white tail deer that has been dropped with a shot between the eyes. (Yes, I know that's no shot any of us would take but it's a joke here and this one was probably put together by a non hunter) The game warden congratulates the hunters on marksmanship. Next night he visits the same camp and finds a second large deer -also shot between the eyes. Again he congratulates the camp on their marksmanship. On the third night that he visits the camp he finds that the hunters have taken a quite large black bear. Again, he finds that the bear was shot between the eyes. Just as he is about to again congratulate the hunters on their marksmanship, he notices that the bear's front paws also have a bullet hole through them. He asks about that. One of the hunters says: " Oh, that was when he threw up his paws to get the light out of his eyes". | ||
