Reminds me of the time I was looking at a big male lion sitting at the back of his cage. When a woman approached he suddenly became alert , stood up and walked toward her .Something was going to happen ! As I backed away the lion turned around and sprayed the woman .Just scent marking I guess . I kept walking .

Well, it's Asian, but no one ever accused ele's of being dumb.

"Elephant Spraying Poo on Man"

I saw a hippo do something similar at the zoo in The City (San Francisco) in about 1950.

There were two hippos in their large pool. One of them emerged from the pool on the side toward the public viewing area. Because the hippos seldom came out of the water during the daytime, a large crowd gathered in a very short time to look at the one which had.

All the people pressed up as close as they could get,shoving my two little twin sisters and I forcibly off to the side so they could get closer.

Then the hippo turned his rump toward the crowd, starting spinning his little tail like a fan blade, and pooped into that spinning "fan".

The result reminded me of that grammar school dirty joke ending with the rhyme "Oh little man so spic and span, where were YOU when the sh--t hit the fan?"

My sisters and I, who had been shoved out of range of the hippo, laughed, squealed, and clapped our hands with glee.

25 years ago a zoo lion in a Virginia Zoo sprayed on me. I remember feelings of helpless, hopeless anger. At least the SOB waited until I had my back to him. Hope he died of an impacted bowel...
