The pastor visited a class of boys one Sunday morning to find out what they were learning in bible study. "Who broke down the walls of Jericho?" he asked. "Not me sir" the boys replied. Is this typical for this class? the pastor asked the teacher. "These are honest boys + I believe them; I don't think they would do a thing like that." the teacher replied. Frustrated + discourage, the pastor told the Sunday School director who said the same thing, that he could not imagine those boys doing such as thing. Long story short, the minister brings it up before the official church board + their reply was, " Pastor, we see no need to get upset about a little thing like this.Lets just pay for the damages involved + charge it off to general church maintanence".

Sounds like the sad state of affairs for most Americans, especially the younger generation, be it U.S. History/Government, World events, Religious History, current events, or anything in general.

Indeed! A joke, but not a very funny one concerning the times. I have many college friends that took the sociology degree, but all you really get is a job teaching school + although they are all retired, now, the general consensus was that they are glad to be retired as they were never paid well, + were forbidden to teach the truth.

An even sadder situation: a teaching career while never teaching the truth. Sad on several levels. NRA Benefactor Member US Navy Veteran

I know. Years ago, when my business was slow, I commented to some of them that I might just take a job teaching history + was immediately disabused of the notion by being told that I wouldn't last a week teaching what was true.
