A young man is wandering in the back country of rural China. He approaches a farm house and asks for shelter for the night. He is prepared to pay also for food. A quite elderly Chinese, stooped with age, greets him at the door and assures the young man that, indeed, he may have food and shelter. However, as the elderly Chinese says: " You must not sleep with my daughter or you will have inflicted upon you the three supreme Chinese tortures".

The young man figures that any daughter of such an old man would be almost an old woman anyway and he agrees.

At the dinner table, the daughter turns out to be a gorgeous, lithe young woman. The young man can hardly keep his eyes off her.

After the household retires for the night, the young man is driven by passion. He goes to the daughter's room and they both enjoy each other.

The young man sneaks back to his own room, content and exhausted. He awakens in the morning and finds a large rock on his chest. Attached to the rock is a note reading: " "Chinese torture No.1 - Large rock on chest".

The young man reads the note and thinks to himself that a "large rock" is not much of a "torture". He gets up and throws the rock out the window.

Just as he does so, he reads a second note attached to the rock "Chinese torture No. 2- Rock tied to left testicle".

In a panic, the young man thinks quickly and decides that a few broken bones are better than being castrated -so he leaps out the window after the rock.

As he plunges downward, he sees a third sign on the ground: " Chinese torture No.3 - Right testicle tied to bed post".
