A new commander has just taken over at a lonely post of the French Foreign Legion out in the desert. He is being shown around by the executive officer (previously acting commander) of the regiment. (The web site said it was a captain but I changed it to terms in a real army) The new colonel seems satisfied with what he has seen so far. However, he has a question. He wants to know what that small building inside the walls of the fortress over there in the corner is for?) With some embarrassment, the exec explains that sometimes the men have a real need for women and so they go there to use the camel. The colonel says:" Enough!" and waves the exec away in disgust. Some weeks go by and the colonel himself feels the need for a woman. He approaches the exec and asks in a furtive way about the camel in the small building. He wants to know when the camel is available. The exec consults a diary kept at HQ and says: "2:00 PM, next Tuesday is open". The colonel makes a note of it. Next Tuesday, the colonel shows up at the building where the camel is kept. He is so desperate that he actually thinks the camel is cute. He also sees a small stepladder nearby. He moves its to the camel's rear, lowers his trousers and prepares to mount. At that moment, the exec walks in. The exec says: " Excuse me, sir, but wouldn't it be better to use the camel to ride into town to find women like the men do?" | ||
