Miss him...

Let us speak courteously, deal fairly, and keep ourselves armed and ready

And I miss Harry Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower even more than I do Mr. Reagan.

My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still.

Ike was responsible for building one of the greatest national highway systems in the world.
But he did sort of prove that the country didn't really need a president.

Ike sent my ass down to Formosa when the Red Chinese were shelling Quemoy and some of the other offshore islands. He also positioned the Pacific fleet in the straits of Formosa to give the Chinese the idea that it didn't pay to @#!!&# with the US. He didn't bow to anyone. Nor did he talk when it was time for action.

Reagan was a great president, a great man, and a great communicator. He wasn't necessarily the expert on every topic, so he surrounded himself with those who were. And, then he led. (That's an important word, it doesn't contain an "i"). Led, Not "LIED".

I miss him, too and I'm not even American.

Also miss the Iron Lady, and I'm not British.

Suggest you read the following info on how the National Highway System was funded. Specifically questions 6,7 & 8.
