An Irishman, an Englishman and a Scotsman are walking along a beach together when they find a bottle. You know the routine. A genie pops out and says that each will have one wish.

The Irishman says that his father and grandfather before him were fishermen and he is a fisherman and hopes his son will follow him. The genie is nodding impatiently so the Irishman hastens to speak up; " I want all the seas around Ireland to teem with fish".

The genie nods approvingly and - Presto! The Irishman's wish is granted!.

The genie turns next to the Englishman. This individual says: " I want a wall around England forever to keep out everybody". The genie eyes the Englishman but grants his wish.

Finally, the Scot is asked for his wish.

The Scot seems a little uncertain about what he wants. Finally, he asks the genie for some details about this "wall" around England.

The genie explains that the wall will be 150 feet high and 50 feet thick and water tight.

The Scot says: " Ach. Fill it up with water".
